What is the easiest way to start creating my book?
The easiest and most of the time the cheapest way to start is to type you manuscript into a word processing program such as Microsoft Word. Most people will have this program on their home computer or a similar word processing package.
This basic file should be kept simple, dont try to format the book in this package, unless you know how to get it all the way to a final print ready PDF document. It is best to talk to us so we can guide you to creating a manuscript which can be effectively taken into a professional publishing program to put the finer touches on. During this process all your formatting work would be lost.

Is it possible for me to do all the design work?
It is possible, however most people do not have the software needed to create a professional final print ready file. It is possible to do this in some basic word processing programs, but it is not for intermediate users. There are quite a lot of small pitfalls in these programs which lead to a less than professional result unless you are a highly skilled user.
We can however assist you with some of these pitfalls, if you are keen on doing the work yourself. It certainly can help keep costs down. We suggest talking to us about the package you wish to use and discuss the best options to suit your knowledge of the software and the results you are trying to achieve.

How long does it take to take my works and get my books back?
If your manuscript is typed ready to be formatted, it will take approximately one - two weeks to get a first draft put together. If this is clean and does not need a great deal of additional changes, books can be ready in less than 2-3 more weeks - depending upon the complexity and bind style of the finished book.
